The Sleeping Hut is inspired by Lao Buddhist animist shacks, which shelter and guide spirits before they transition. For me, it symbolized my shift from high school to higher education—a space to reflect on change. Using hand-cut bamboo, I created a simple yet strong structure, decorated with Hmong adornments, gold and silver paper. Spending a night inside deepened its significance and my interest in cultural storytelling through design.
